DESCRIPTION:Needle felting is a way to create all sorts of fun critters & characters. For this class\, Staunton fiber artist Karen Shapcott will help us create gnomes on September 4.\nFee for the class is $35 and all materials (including the needles) will be provided.\n\nClass will start at 10:30 in the AHACC’s upstairs classroom and we should be done and out by 12:30 (except for the laughing).\nAnyone ages 16 and up is welcome.\n\nPlease register by August 28 so we can have supplies ready. SUMMARY:"Gem Trees"  with Lois McMullan
DESCRIPTION:The objective of this class is learning how to put together gems on wire to make the form of a tree.  Such as the one pictured here.  The class is open to anyone 15 years old and up\, and will be held on September 18th from 1 pm to 4 pm.  All materials will be provided and the cost is $30.  Please register below by September 11th to ensure your spot.\nLois is one of the artists featured in the Shop here at Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center.  She lives in Botetourt County and draws inspiration from the mixed forest surrounding her log home.  Lois continues to explore new and challenging material to capture the form and essence of her subjects.
