It is the first completely hand-written and hand-illustrated bible produced since Guttenberg invented the printing press around 1450. The Bible is in 7 volumes and the Center will have the volume that includes the Pentateuch (Genesis\, Exodus\, Leviticus\, Numbers and Deuteronomy).  The illuminations are fascinating modern interpretations of important events revealed in the scriptures. All the calligraphy was painstakingly done by Donald Jackson\, calligrapher to Queen Elizabeth. The volume is currently on loan to Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington\, VA\, and is being shared\, with the Center.\nThis Pop-Up exhibit will be displayed during business hours\, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (only 3 days\, Mon – Wed).
