SUMMARY:"My Last Picture Show-Maybe"
DESCRIPTION:This exhibit features some 30+ pieces of Anna Wentworth. \nOne question that I am sometimes asked by those who do not know me is how I  got started.  When I was 4 or so I decided my mother’s books needed illustrations so I drew them-in all her books! \nI had thought that this would be “my last picture show\,” but that has not been as easy as I thought it would be.  I do love to paint\, especially landscapes\, and especially the places I have traveled.  I will probably still do that without the pressure I put on myself to make commercially desirable.  But that idea (what is this worth?) is still there in the back of my mind whenever I choose a scene to paint.  I hope to get over that.” \n

SUMMARY:Intersections
DESCRIPTION:Nancy Newhard’s fanciful & colorful acrylics on a variety of surfaces will also be on display in the Gallery from July 21st – August 28th. \n“These things\, the physical act of painting and learning to see both what is within myself and what is in the world around me\, to discover and respond to it all makes me want to paint more and more. It may not change the world\, but I know it changes me. I began painting in the mid-’70s with watercolor and oil. Sometime in the mid-’90s\, I began to switch to acrylics\, and it opened up a whole hotel room full of new doors.” ~ Nancy Newhard
