An event every week that begins at 2:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until October 2, 2019
This is a general class for beginning and intermediate watercolor students. It will focus on composition and design as well as leaning wet-in-wet, dry brush, and some experimental skills.
Fincastle artist Ed Bordett is a graduate of the National Academy of Art in New York City and the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Although these days he is best known for his silkscreen and oils, Bordett has never stopped doing watercolors, using them as a preliminary version for other media but also for the sheer pleasure of the medium’s special characteristics. His strong focus on how to organize a picture and his wry sense of humor should keep the class interesting. As he says, “a good time will be had by all!”
The class will run from September 11 to October 2. A materials list will be available at the Center’s front desk. Students should register by September 18, and may pay in person, by mail or on line at email@example.com
