Much like our Fall Festival Exhibit\, submission is open to the public. If you would like to submit your photographs please stop by\, or contact the Arts and Crafts Center to receive an entry form. Please deliver your pieces by Saturday\, November 25\, 10am-5pm OR Sunday\, November 26th\, 1-4pm. \nPlease have your submissions wired and ready to hang. We will not accept frames with chains\, easel backs\, sawtooth hangers\, or clip frames. \nA fee of $10.00 per entry or 35/four entries is to be paid upon check-in. \nYou can find more information on our entry forms that can be found at our physical location. If you would like to have an entry form mailed\, please call the art center at (540) 862-4447.

DESCRIPTION:This class for kids in 3rd-7th grade is held on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30-11:30. The children will read and discuss a story\, make their own craft pertaining to the story\, and often there is a snack! Kids are sure to have fun while learning with school teachers Cathy Drummer & Judy Scott! Only three spots available. \nAll supplies provided. Navroski began to be more passionate about choosing a medium with meaning.  He chose to paint on feathers.  Feather painting is a creative method to symbolize the powerful meaning of feathers which represents honor\, trust\, strength\, wisdom and freedom.  A unique one of a kind “art” that is deeply revered and a sign of high honor from the heavens.   Ronald has won numerous awards and his feathers are displayed in the Shop of Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center\, as well as other shops throughout Virginia.

The winning design will receive a  $500 award. The design will be used as the 2023 Christmas card for WestRock’s operations in the Alleghany Highlands. \nThe competition is open to all residents of the Alleghany Highlands and surrounding area\, including students in the area schools. Interested participants may submit more than one entry.
