“Friends of the Earth”- an exhibit by Marsha Heatwole.

“Marsha Heatwole’s work as a painter/printmaker is highly recognizable and has been exhibited and collected across the country.  Her newest exhibit, “Friends of the Earth” will open August 24th at the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Craft and run through September 17th.

This exhibit expands beyond her familiar exotic and domestic animals to consider all creatures large and small who play a part in helping to protect and rebuild our ecosystems. The work addresses a larger topic with color, humor and concern.  Don’t miss it!
