If you’ve experimented with alcohol inks before, but would like to learn some more techniques, this would also be a great class!
This class introduces students (14+) to alcohol inks and all the possibilities they offer. With the guidance of Fredericksburg artist Jennifer Galvin, you will be using alcohol inks to create beautiful, colorful pieces of artwork to take home. You don’t have to “be an artist” to create a masterpiece! Alcohol ink is easy to work with and looks great when you are finished. Even beginners will enjoy this workshop. Jennifer will bring yupo paper, tiles and some 4×6 canvases so you can see how the ink works on different surfaces. We’ll start by experimenting with the inks and color, then learn some techniques for controlling the ink to make it do what you want it to. Everyone will go home home with a lovely tile fit for framing, (or to use as a trivet or coaster).
Date of class Sat. July 16, 11am-2pm Pre-registration is required by July 12th.
